Hite leads 7 returnees on Shadow roster

Seven players return from last year’s Spokane Shadow soccer team, which opens its season Saturday night at Joe Albi Stadium.

The returners include team scoring leader Brett Hite from University High and the University of Washington. Hite was the Premier Development League (PDL) U-19 Player of the Year last season.

The 2004 Shadow went 11-5-1 and finished second in the PDL Northwest Division standings, qualifying for the PDL playoffs for the ninth time in the 10-year history of the franchise.

The Shadow’s opener is at 7 p.m. against the Yakima Reds.
