A Spokane Public Schools forum about the district budget is planned for 7 p.m. tonight at Glover Middle School, 2404 W. Longfellow Ave.

A similar forum Monday night drew only four people to hear a presentation by district officials, leaving more than 150 empty chairs in the school lunchroom.

The advisory committee will review the preliminary budget on May 16, and Superintendent Brian Benzel will make his recommendation to the board June 22.

The preliminary budget will be released July 10, and the board is expected to vote on it Aug. 10.
