Author Glenn Murray - The New York Times best-selling children’s author is promoting his latest book, “Rough Weather Ahead for Walter the Farting Dog.” The group will be joined by puppies from Spokanimal. May 21. 2 p.m. Auntie’s Bookstore, 402 W. Main. Free. 838-0206.

Pet Fest – All breed and all species pet expo. Includes family entertainment, training demonstrations, pet-related products for sale, wiener dog races, Singing with Your Pet Duet, Skyhoundz Local Canine Disc Championships, Dog Food Dive for prizes, and more than 100 pets available for adoption through local rescue groups. Also this year, scouts from Animal Planet will be viewing auditions during the national pet talent competition. Pets are encouraged to attend, registration is required.
