Capillary Action and Art Design – Spokane Parks and Recreation and the Corbin Art Center, 507 W. Seventh Ave., present this class for kids ageas 6 through 9. The class will discuss gravity, porous materials and absorption on Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m., at the center; the cost is $10. For more information, call 625-6677.

Books and Song: Come Sing Along – Support for Parents Overcoming Challenges presents this free workshop Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Express Summer Care – Spokane Public Schools is now taking enrollments for the Express Summer Program, which runs from June 20 to Aug. 26. For more information about this program, call 354-7312.

Before- and After-school Programs – Educational and fun programs are available at the Northeast Youth Center, 4001 N. Cook. Transportation to and from some local elementary schools is available and state pay is accepted. Includes a USDA approved snack.
