Sosa to return to Orioles lineup
NOTES
Baltimore Orioles right fielder Sammy Sosa, who has been out since May 4 because of an abscess and staph infection on the bottom of his left foot, said Sunday that he is still on schedule to return to the lineup Tuesday.
Sosa has been working in the batting cages every day since getting medical clearance Thursday and is planning on coming to the park on Monday’s off day to get some hitting in.
“Everything is great,” said Sosa, who plans to tape his foot and ankle to give the bottom of his foot more support. “It’s a little (sore), but I can deal with that.”
