Brinda doesn’t do any tricks yet, but the 3-month-old Labrador mix is ready to learn.

Start from scratch with this easy-to-train black puppy with brindle colored legs.

She’s calm and quiet, and has a sweet personality.

Brinda’s big paws indicate she’ll grow up to be a large Labrador-size dog.

A volunteer at Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Services said Brinda’s breed is good with kids.

She’s the type of puppy that wants to greet her owner at the front door with her tail wagging and be your shadow. She will be available for adoption Friday.

Anyone interested in adopting Brinda or other animals can visit the SCRAPS shelter at 2521 N. Flora Road, call the shelter at 477-2532 or visit the Web site at www.spokanecounty.org/animal.

Dogs cost $75.01 to adopt, which includes a license, neutering, vaccinations, a microchip implant and a trip to the veterinarian.
