Churches alter schedules

As summer approaches, Valley churches are beginning to alter their Sunday worship schedules in recognition of the quieter rhythms during the summer.

Veradale United Church of Christ, 611 N. Progress Road, will now begin its weekly worship service at 10 a.m. each Sunday.

And Zion Lutheran Church, 8304 E. Buckeye Ave., is having a special combined worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday in recognition of Memorial Day. There will be no Sunday School classes.

Yard sale

The sale is Friday only at the Spokane Valley Church of the Nazarene, 15515 E. 20th Ave. Sale hours will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
