Whoever wins will have their hands full, as they will have to travel to the loser of tonight’s Ellensburg (7-2) at Prosser (8-1) game for the Mid-Valley League title. Ellensburg opened the season by defeating North Central 58-20, while Prosser is ranked fourth in the state.
Other GSL football games: Tonight, Albi Stadium: East Valley vs. Mt. Spokane, 4:30 p.m. and Ferris vs. Lewis and Clark, 7:15. North Central at West Valley, Rogers at Central Valley, Shadle Park vs. Mead at University, University at Gonzaga Prep, all 7 p.m.
Area game of the week
Colville (6-2, 5-0) at Pullman (9-0, 5-0), tonight, 7 p.m.
For the second straight season, this game on the final week of the regular season will determine the league champion. Last year, the Greyhounds won 35-14 at Colville, and will look for a repeat and home-field advantage until the state championship game in Tacoma. The winner hosts the winner of the Othello/Ephrata play-in game and the loser travels to play the winner of the Grandview/Cascade (Leavenworth) play-in game.
