A win Friday by Freeman over Life Christian and Colfax over River View in the first round of the State 1A volleyball tournament would match the NEA rivals in the quarterfinals. The teams have met three times, Freeman sweeping the first match and Colfax taking the next two in four games. … The schools’ football teams are also vying for state spots. Freeman (7-2) is host to Brewster (7-4) for the District 7 No. 1 seed, while Colfax (6-4) is traveling to Zillah (7-3) for the District 5 No. 2 seed.
