NEW FACES

Mike Mitchell has been hired as a loan officer in the Spokane Valley office of First Horizon Home Loans. He has over 19 years of sales experience and is a graduate of Eastern Washington University.

The Coeur d’Alene office of Windermere Real Estate has hired Sam Inman as a sales associate. She previously worked as a youth specialist at Children’s Village and holds a degree in social work.

Philip Murphy Jr.. has been hired as vice president and portfolio manager in the investment firm of Marcia Joslyn Sill Inc. He has over 18 years of investment and wealth management experience and holds a master’s of business administration from Portland State University.

Intermountain Community Bank has hired Ashley Knowles in the bank’s Spokane Valley branch. She has six years of experience in the banking industry.

Dr. Judith O’Connor has been hired at Pediatric Specialties/Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital. She is a graduate of Uniformed Services University Health Services and completed her internship, residency and fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. She has been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society.

The ARC of Spokane has hired Maria Goff as manager of the organization’s community center. She previously worked in the traumatic brain injury unit at St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute and holds a bachelor’s degree in leisure services from Central Washington University. Goff is also a certified recreational therapy specialist.

Thomas McLaughlin has been hired as a senior private banker at Wells Fargo Private Client Services. He has worked in the financial industry for 11 years and is a graduate of Gonzaga University.

Inland Northwest Bank has hired Shawn Van Gordon as a home loan consultant.

Jose Angel has been hired as a graphic designer at Market Vision Inc. Angel holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Jorge Tadeo Lozano in Bogota, Columbia and previously worked as a senior graphic designer at A-Creative in Coeur d’Alene.

Market Vision has hired Russell Peterson as traffic/production coordinator. He holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising from Washington State University and previously worked as a programmer in the account services department at Merchant E-Services.

Dr. Debra Ravasia has been hired at North Spokane Women’s Clinic practicing obstetrics and gynecology. She is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan and completed an internship and residency at the University of Calgary. Ravasia has been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society.

Sacred Heart Medical Center has hired Dr. Sajid Ravasia as a psychiatrist. He is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan and completed his internship and residency at Regina General Hospital. Ravasia has been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society.

PROMOTED

Paul Hazdovac has been promoted to assistant vice president and manager of the Wells Fargo Bonners Ferry branch. He was previously a business relationship manager at Wells Fargo in Monterey, Calif., and is a graduate of Golden Gate University.

BDO Seidman has promoted Brian Hinton to assurance senior associate. He has been with the company since September, 2003 and is a graduate of Washington State University.

Kevin Kirk has been promoted to director of business development at Duvoisin and Associates. He holds a master’s in business administration from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business and previously worked as director of marketing.

Advanced Input Systems has promoted Mike Johnson to vice president of operations. He has been with the company for over 10 years and holds a master’s in business administration from Gonzaga University.

John Clutter has been promoted at Advanced Input Systems to vice president of business development. He has been with the company for 12 years and previously worked as director of business development. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration/accounting from Washington State University.

KUDOS

Craig Davis has received the Personal Financial Representative designation. He is an insurance agent with Allstate Insurance.

Kelly Lerner, a local architect in Spokane, has received the 2005 World Habitat Award at the United Nations World Habitat Day Celebration. Lerner has worked with the Adventist Development and Relief Agency for the last seven years.

Lori St. Marie, a senior manager at Moss Adams in Spokane, has written chapter 30 of the book, “Financial Management & Accounting for the Construction Industry.” St. Marie’s chapter discussed “Federal Income Taxation-Cost Segregation and Depreciation Aspects for the Construction Industry.”

GIFTS

Sterling Savings Bank has donated $10,000 to Second Harvest Food Bank. Half of the donation will be used to buy 350 to 400 turkeys for the holidays, and the other half will be used to buy non-perishable items for holiday dinners. The bank is also holding a food drive at all of its branches in Spokane through Dec. 9.
