Experience wild side at new noodle restaurant
A restaurant specializing on gourmet noodle dishes is opening on Monday.
Wild Noodles, 328 N. Sullivan Road, serves popular pasta entrees with influences from several countries. The recipes were created by famous Arizona Chef Eddie Matney.
“We specialize definitely in pasta, but what we want to be known for is our flavors and variety,” said Lori Carruthers, manager of Wild Noodles.
The eatery has a bistro feel and offers customers quick casual dining. It’s part of a new 14-store franchise. Pete Mollet of north Spokane and Ray Ueland of Montana own the Spokane Valley store and plan to open a northside store in December.
Wild Noodles caters to customers who want a quick, cooked-to-order meal that’s healthier than most fast food and more affordable than many traditional restaurants, Carruthers said.
Menu items are MSG-free and include American, Asian and Italian noodle dishes, along with rice bowls, salads, appetizers and a creation dubbed “wonton smores” for dessert.
Entrees include macaroni and cheese, chicken Marsala, Thai rice noodles and teriyaki stir fry, with prices ranging from $5.95 to $8.50.
Customers place an order at a counter and from there, table service is provided. Beer and wine are available along with hot teas and China Mist iced teas.
Kelly Mollet, Pete’s son, will manage a new Wild Noodles store that’s slated to open at Division and Hawthorne in December.
Wild Noodles is open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. For information, call 893-8900.

Office building nearly complete
An 11,000-square-foot office building on Evergreen Road is nearing completion.
The building, 1117 N. Evergreen Road, is owned by North Evergreen Properties, LLC and built by T.W. Clark Construction, which are under the same ownership.
The craftsman-lodge style complex has been under construction since May and should be completed within a month, said Clayton Linnell, a partner in the two businesses.
Both companies will share space in the west end of the building and lease 4,500 square feet of flex space that can house up to three businesses.
