Pumpkins for donations

The Trellis Marketplace is giving free pumpkins to people who donate items for Hurricane Katrina victims.

Donations of new clothing, cleaning supplies and housewares are being accepted today, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requested items include baby wipes, diapers, plastic flashlights, wrapped blankets, buckets, toothbrushes and other personal-hygiene items.

Donations will be accepted through October. The Trellis Marketplace is at 4102 S. Bowdish Road.
