Spokane Valley Fire – Commissioners opened the bids for pickup trucks. The low bidder was Wendle Ford, and commissioners agreed to purchase four Ford Rangers for the Inspection Prevention Division and one truck for battalion chief use. Liberty Lake SCOPE – Volunteers listened to a presentation on violence in the workplace. They also discussed their ongoing effort to collect emergency contact information from all Liberty Lake businesses. Two new members were welcomed. They voted to purchase vests and signs to be used for flagging. Members will also be involved in a fund-raising effort organized by local chaplains to collect person hygiene items, cleaning supplies, blankets, sheets, etc. for Hurricane Katrina victims.
