HollisterStier has hired Carla Peavey as a help desk technician. She previously worked in technical software support and holds a bachelor’s degree in business computer programming from Spokane Community College.

Dr. James Pataky is now affiliated with Heart Clinics Northwest. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri and completed his internship, residency and fellowship at the University of Arkansas. He has practiced in Coeur d’Alene since 1979.

Empire Health Services has hired Ronald Olds as assistance vice president of Patient Care Services. He has over 30 years of healthcare administration experience.

Dale Tyree has been hired as an agent at Tomlinson Black North. He has been working in real estate for over 20 years and specializes in sales and income property and property management.

The Spokane Regional Chamber of Commerce has hired Genia Seghetti as membership account executive. She has over 20 years of sales experience and previously worked as group sales coordinator for WestCoast Entertainment.

Andrea Steele has been hired as a mortgage loan officer at U.S. Bank. Steele has over 23 years of finance and mortgage lending experience.

Jaremko Nissan has hired Don Murock as a sales consultant. He is a retired investment representative.

Bill McDonald has been hired as project manager at Meridian Construction. He previously worked as a senior project manager with the State of California.

Cyrus O’Leary’s Pies has hired Bea Marr as the human resources manager. She was previously the director of human resources for Goodwill Industries.

Charis Gauna has been hired at Sterling Hospitality as the front office manager at the Holiday Inn Express in downtown.

Meghan Johnson has been hired as a medical representative at HollisterStier. She will work in the Indiana, Michigan and Ohio sales territory and holds a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University.

Jerry and Lorrie Vanhook have been hired as sales associates at Tomlinson Black Valley.

Ben Kirven has been hired as the government affairs director of the Spokane Home Builders Association and the Spokane Association of Realtors. He holds a law degree from the University of Wyoming.

Mountain West Bank has promoted Shelly Romine to vice president commercial lender. She has been with the bank since 1999 when she was hired as a Small Business Administration credit analyst.

Jim Enyeart has been promoted to mine manager at the Dragon Mine in Juab County, Utah. The mine is owned by Atlas Mining Company.

Doug Burke has earned the Realtor e-Pro certification from the National Association of Realtors. He works at Windermere Real Estate in Spokane Valley.

The Washington Credit Union League has awarded the Spokane Federal Credit Union first place in four marketing categories at the Spectrum Awards.

Spokane Teachers Credit Union has won the Best in Show Award for its “Things I Love” campaign at the Spectrum Awards presented by the Washington Credit Union League.

The Pullman Chamber of Commerce recently recognized some of its members during its annual awards banquet. The winners are: Charlene Jasper, Chamber Member of the Year; Helene Hopkins, the Marshall A. Neill Community Service Award; Pullman Regional Hospital, the Civic Improvement Award; Tim and Diane Marsh, the Chamber Hall of Fame Modern Category Award; and Rod Bertramson, the Chamber Hall of Fame Historic Category Award.

The Idaho Judiciary has recognized Bonner County Magistrate Judge Debra Helse with the George G. Granata Award for her professionalism.

APPOINTED/ELECTED

Gov. Dirk Kempthorne has appointed Stan Wood to a five-year term on the Idaho State Board of Accountancy. Wood is the president of Magnuson, McHugh & Co., a certified public accounting firm in Coeur d’Alene.

Russ Brown has been appointed as the president of the Spokane Lilac Festival for 2005-2006. He is a retired high school principal.

The Spokane Regional Chamber of Commerce has recently elected its new officers and board of trustees. The officers are: Skip Davis of Sacred Heart Medical Center, board chairman; Heidi Stanley of Sterling Savings Bank, chairwoman-elect; Tony Bonanzino of HollisterStier, immediate past chairman; Mike Ormsby of Preston Gates & Ellis, general counsel; Bill Simer of McDirmid, Mikkelsen & Secrest, treasurer; Rich Hadley of the Spokane Regional Chamber of Commerce, president and chief executive officer.
