Domestic violence prevention plan to be focus of meeting

Information about a new program being launched in Hillyard to prevent domestic violence will be presented at a breakfast meeting from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., next Thursday at the Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Cook.

The meeting is sponsored by the Hillyard Neighborhood Council, Business Association, The Spokane County Domestic Violence Consortium and Under One Roof of Spokane.

This meeting will serve as the launching point for the Hillyard Safe Haven program and hopes to send a message that domestic violence will not be tolerated in the Hillyard neighborhood.

Breakfast is being provided by the Exchange Club of Downtown Spokane.
