Spokane Tax-Aide – is looking for a volunteer district coordinator to implement the American Association of Retired Persons Internal Revenue Service free income tax counseling program plans through May in the Spokane area. Job duties include recruiting, appointing, training, supervising and evaluating local site coordinators, instructors, communication coordinators and technology coordinators. Applicants must have or gain knowledge of all procedures associated with the Tax-Aide program; familiarity with tax procedures is helpful but not required. Contact Leigh Hales at 536-0573.

Teen Advisory Council – needs teen advisers. Must be in grades 9-12 and a resident of Spokane. Orientation will be provided; must attend meetings every second Tuesday of the month September through April, and serve on a project committee. Contact Wendy Acosta at 625-6440.

American Red Cross – is looking for disaster relief volunteers for current national disasters. Interested individuals must complete application, be interviewed and have medical release signed by their physician. Training will last three days, deployment will last 21 days.
