Looking back Clark ferry in 1939

The Spokesman-Review

Columbia River transportation

The Clark ferry, pictured here in 1939, operated across the Columbia River between Ferry and Lincoln Counties. This site was used for transportation across the river by Native Americans and others from the Colville Reservation using an oar-propellered ferry. The site was then bought by various entrepreneurs until the state of Washington began running the ferry in 1930.
