Isn’t love funny?

Samantha Weaver King Features Syndicate

• It’s been reported that on a first date, 79 percent of men decide within 15 minutes whether they’re interested in a second date with the same woman. On the other hand, 64 percent of women take at least an hour to make the same decision.

• In South Africa, the most popular wedding cakes are made of ice cream.

• It was poet and noted wit Ogden Nash who wrote the following advice to couples: “To keep your marriage brimming, / With love in the loving cup, / Whenever you’re wrong, admit it; / Whenever you’re right, shut up.”

• The Federal Bureau of Investigation was established in 1908, but its agents didn’t start carrying guns until 1934.

• If you ever travel to the Florida Keys, be sure to stop by the Peppers of Key West store. It specializes in hot sauces … really hot sauces. If you want to try its most potent concoction, though — Blair’s 6 a.m. Reserve — be prepared to show ID to prove that you’re at least 18 years old. You’ll have to sign a waiver, too. Oh, and get ready to shell out some big bucks — a 2-ounce bottle costs $599.
