Apple Festival - Harvest festival is held over seven weekends, Sept. 17-Oct. 30. Enjoy a variety of apples, fresh pressed cider and other produce, live music, craft booths, corn and straw mazes and animals. Saturday - Sunday. Greenbluff.

WSU Master Gardeners - This series of weekly classes will discuss selecting, planting, pruning and maintaining trees and shrubs, starting Saturday - Oct. 22. 10 a.m.-12 p.m., 222 N. Havana St., Spokane. $35 for series, or $10 per class. 477-2048.
