The lighting experts at GE advise consumers to use the right bulb in the right fixture. Consumers can achieve dramatic effects in their homes just by changing the lighting. It’s as easy as one, two, three.

One — Find the right type of bulb for the lamp or socket. Bulbs come in all shapes and sizes to match the wide variety of lamps and fixtures people have in their homes. Buy the right type of bulb to get the most out of your lighting. Whether it’s a table lamp, track light, vanity light, chandelier or outdoor light, the first step is getting the right type of bulb.

Two — Select the light quality for your sense of style. Your home’s interior design is an expression of yourself. Furniture, window treatments, flooring, wall color and accents work together to create a look that your can be proud of. Make it right by lighting it with style. Different bulbs offer different light quality: Choose either clean, beautiful light or crisp, bright light of halogen to put your home in the right light.

Track Lighting – Some reflector bulbs are made with an advanced silver coating technology to provide more light output than other bulbs.

Recessed Lighting — Halogen indoor floodlights are the best choice for recessed fixtures. Unlike standard incandescent bulbs, some halogen floodlights project virtually all of their light out of the fixture and into the room.

Chandeliers — There are bulbs designed specifically for chandeliers that can add a creative accent and decorative touch to your home. When special chandelier bulbs are lit, the neodymium provides a pure, clean light by filtering out much of the dulling yellow rays common from standard incandescent light bulbs.

Three — Consider the right performance. Different lighting fixtures call for a variety of bulb performance characteristics, such as long life, durability and energy efficiency. For more information, visit www.ge.com.
