Meet Lilac royalty at tea

Young women, their mothers and grandmothers are invited to the Spokane Lilac Festival Association’s royal tea party at the Davenport Hotel April 23 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Women are encouraged to bring their girls of all ages, dressed in their Sunday best, to an event where they can meet the 2006 Royal Court.

A fashion show also is planned.

Tickets are $16 and include a gift for each of the younger participants, door prizes and a raffle, open to girls ages 4 to 9, who will have a chance to ride with the royal court in the Junior Lilac Parade on May 20.
