A March 26 Our View editorial (“Iraq accountability”) noted, “Unlike Iraq, there was no resistance in U.S.-occupied Germany.”

The Nazis set up guerrillas known as Werwolves that performed acts of terrorism in Allied-occupied Germany. According to Wikipedia, an online encyclopedia, “Werwolf was far weaker than many other historically significant guerrilla insurgencies, for example, those in Vietnam and Iraq.”
