Kristin Payne has been hired as a sales associate in the Spokane Valley office of Windermere Real Estate.

Laurie Sheffler has been hired as a sales associate at Tomlinson Black Valley.

The Spokane Valley office of Windermere Real Estate has hired Diane Kayser as a sales associate. She previously worked as the chief financial officer of Excelligence Learning Corp. in California.

Foundation Northwest has hired Jennifer Pearson Stapleton as director of marketing and communications and program officer for counties in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. She has over 14 years of experience in marketing and nonprofit administration.

Mary McKenna has been hired as an agent at Tomlinson Black North. She has over 12 years of social work experience.

Arbor Crest Wine Cellars has hired Marla Lucas as controller. She holds a master’s of business administration degree from Rutgers University.

Joe Vanhelden has been hired as a sales agent at Exit Real Estate-Jones & Associates. He previously worked as a naval aviator.

The Coeur d’Alene office of Windermere Real Estate has hired Karen Hoff as a sales associate. She has been a Realtor for four years and previously worked at Tomlinson Black North Idaho.

The Davenport Hotel has hired Lois Spicer as assistant manager of the Peacock Room. She previously worked as the food and beverage manager at the Harborside Bistro in Bellingham and is a 1994 graduate of Montana State University.

Inland Northwest Bank has hired John Bumgarner as vice president and private banking officer.

Advanced Input Systems has hired Robert Jibby as director of business development. He previously worked at DataPro Solutions Inc. in Spokane Valley.

PROMOTED

D.A. Davidson & Co. has promoted Chad Roland to vice president and financial consultant.

Karen Sawyer has been promoted to manager of the Wells Fargo University City branch. She has been with the bank since 1998 and previously worked as a loan specialist at Wells Fargo Financial in Spokane.

Shawn Thompson has expanded his position to president of the protection division at Smiths Interconnect. Thompson also is president of Transtector Systems/LEA International/RO Associates.

Troy Chandler has been promoted to general manager and executive chef at Beachouse Ribs & Crab Shack. Chandler is also the general manager of Bonsai Bistro.

KUDOS

Gary Douvia, a senior vice president and financial consultant at D.A. Davidson & Co., has been named to the company’s Chairman’s Council for his exceptional performance and client service.

John Phelan has been promoted to senior vice president, commercial lending, at Northwest Farm Credit Services. He previously worked as the regional vice president and oversaw five branches of the company.

Rennie Wiedmann, an agent at Allstate Insurance Co. has been recognized for working at the company for 25 years.

Cheryl Wolfe, an assistant attorney general and senior council for the Attorney General’s Office Spokane Division, has received the Myra Bradwell Award from the Gonzaga University Law School Women’s Law Caucus.

The Idaho Wildlife Federation has awarded the Latah County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office the 2006 Prosecutor of the Year award.

David Seefeld has earned the Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist designation from the Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist Institute in Ann Arbor, Mich. Seefeld is a mortgage planning specialist at Countrywide Home Loans.

Charlie Hoppes, the founder and operator of Fidelitas Winery, has been awarded the Entrepreneur Award from the Eastern Washington University College of Business and Public Administration.

ELECTED/APPOINTED

The Arc of Spokane has elected the following officers to its board of directors: Betty Shanks, president; Sally Stultz of Avista, vice president; Lynn Holmes of Community Colleges of Spokane, treasurer; Clayton Wright of Spokane Falls Community College, secretary. The organization also elected new directors: Heather Comer, Michael Finkel, Marie Hirsch, Angela Johnstone, Gregg Jones, Vince Lemus, Brenda O’Donnell, Kelly Padgham, Kathy Pasby, Tom Shanks, Ann Stone, Alice Tanaka, and Doris Tryon.

Arthur Brown has been appointed to Blue Water Technology’s board of directors. He is the chairman of Hecla Mining Company.

Gov. Chris Gregoire has appointed Jeff Severs to the board of directors of Spokane Intercollegiate Research and Technology Institute. He is the president and chief executive officer of Isothermal Systems Research.

Janet Gilpatrick has been appointed by Gov. Chris Gregoire to the board of directors of Spokane Intercollegiate Research and Technology Institute. Gilpatrick is the owner of JL Gilpatrick & Associates.

Pamela Mull has been appointed by the board of directors of Potlatch Corp. to vice president and general counsel for the company. She has worked as the company’s associate general counsel since 1990.

The board of directors of Potlatch Corp. has appointed Michael Gadd as associate general counsel for the company. He previously worked as an attorney in Portland.
