Nursery Volunteers – Vanessa Behan is looking for volunteers, 18 and older, to work with children who are at risk for child abuse or neglect. Volunteers will provide one-on-one interaction with children, playing, reading, feeding, comforting and encouraging them. Must have some experience with children and be willing to make a six-month commitment of three hours per week. Screening required and training provided. Call 535-3155.

Epilepsy Foundation Northwest Annual Walk – Volunteers are needed June 17 to post fliers, set-up and take down signs and help with registration for the walk. People of all ages are encouraged to volunteer and children are welcome if accompanied by adults. Call Sharon at 325-1128.

Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture - ArtFest 2006 – The MAC is seeking volunteers to assist with ArtFest June 2-4 in Coeur d’Alene Park in Browne’s Addition; all are welcome, students are encouraged; contact David Brum at 456-3931.

Morningstar Boys Ranch – Volunteers families are needed to become part of “friendship family,” a program designed to provide boys the experience of healthy family interactions; families will be teamed with a Morningstar social worker; all family members must go through training program; contact Barbour at 448-1099.

Muscular Dystrophy Association Summer Camp 2006 – Volunteers are needed to serve as camp counselors, medical staff, water safety instructors and activity coordinators. Spokane County Juvenile Court – Volunteers are needed for the Mentoring Program. Provide a positive role model for offenders, offer friendship, support and encouragement. Call Susan Cairy at 477-2469.
