Man wanted for burning cross
Secret Witness is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of a man wanted in Kootenai County for a cross burning.
Michael Reinhardt Simmons, 23, is believed to be a fugitive in the Spokane area, said Spokane County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Dave Reagan.
Authorities have issued a $100,000 warrant charging Simmons with harassment and conspiracy to commit felony harassment in Kootenai County.
Simmons’ alleged criminal accomplice, Nicholas J. Schmitt, was arrested Thursday in Spokane by the Eastern Washington Fugitive Task Force. However, Simmons’ whereabouts remain unknown.
Reagan described Simmons as white, 5-foot-7 and 160 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes.
