The Salvation Army – Volunteers are needed to care for infants and toddlers on Sundays, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., and Thursdays, 6-8 p.m. Volunteers must be over age 18, pass a criminal background check and participate in volunteer training. Call Christy Markham at 329-2732 for more information.

Hope House – The overnight shelter for single, homeless women run by the Volunteers of America needs volunteers to help check guests in and out. Daytime volunteers are also needed at the front desk. Volunteers must be over 18 and pass a criminal background check. Call Rusty Barnett at 838-6596 for more information.

Alexandria’s House – The transitional living program for teen mothers and their babies run by the Volunteers of America need volunteers to tutor the mothers and care for the infants. Volunteers must be over age 21 and pass a criminal background check. Call Jill Staples at 838-6596 for more information.
