Races closing several streets

Coeur d’Alene drivers should watch out for several street closures this weekend.

A duathlon and triathlon will shut down several streets today. The racers will travel from City Park to Northwest Boulevard to Lakeside to 8th and Sherman to 11th to Mullan to Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive, to Higgins Point and back. They will then travel along West Lakeshore to Rosenberry to River to Military to the Centennial Trail to Riverstone and back to the park.

The closures run from 7 a.m. to noon.

Several streets in the Sanders Beach area will be closed Sunday for a youth triathlon. The route takes participants to Mullan via 14th, 17th, 11th, Ash and East Lakeshore Drive. The event runs from 9 a.m. to noon.
