Rockford’s Harvest Moon robbed

The Spokesman-Review

A man with a gun forced his way into the Harvest Moon restaurant in Rockford early Sunday.

The man took a small amount of cash before he left, said Spokane County Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Dave Reagan.

An employee told deputies that he was opening the restaurant at 5:50 a.m. Sunday when a man demanded to be let into the business, Reagan said. The employee entered the business and put a small amount of cash on the bar, which the suspect took, he said.

The robber, who was holding a snub-nosed .38 caliber revolver with a silver finish, demanded to be let into the restaurant office, Reagan said.

The employee countered that he did not have a key, so the suspect left. The employee locked the doors and called 911, Reagan said.

The employee said the 5-foot-1-inch man looked between 30 and 40 years old and weighed about 200 pounds. He had ear-length brown hair and sideburns and had a big hoop earring in his left ear. He was wearing blue jeans and a T-shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call 242-TIPS.
