Lake City boys win

Host Lake City blanked Lakeland 7-0 as the Inland Empire League boys soccer season opened Tuesday. Evan Palo had three goals and an assist and Brandon Wood two goals and an assist to lead the Timberwolves.

Also in the IEL, Lewiston beat visiting Moscow 4-3 with Dominic Schmidt picking up two goals for the victorious Bengals. Dominic Trevisan, Jake Weaver and Matt Martin scored for Moscow.

Girls soccer

Bethany Harmon scored twice as Moscow topped visiting Lewiston 2-1 in an IEL opener. Sara Quinn had seven saves for the victorious Bears.
