» Dogs will be doing a bit more than rolling over during the dog agility trials today and Sunday on the south side of University Elementary School, 1613 S. University Road. The eager canines will be showing their stuff from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The dogs will weave, run and jump through a variety of obstacles. The trials are hosted by the Spokane Dog Training Club.

Fetch!

» There has long been discussion about creating an off-leash dog park in the area, with the location becoming the primary sticking point. Those interested in finding Fido a place to play fetch are invited to attend a meeting hosted by the Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Spokane County Cooperative Extension, 222 N.
