Eagles easily take Manhattan
RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Chrystal Johnson had a match-high 10 kills and .350 hitting percentage Wednesday as Eastern Washington University swept Manhattan College 30-19, 30-23, 30-21 in non-conference volleyball.
EWU hit .279 for the match, including .350 in the third game, while the Jaspers (0-4) hit .000.
Addie Webster added 10 digs and Raelynn Chaffee seven blocks for the Eagles (4-1).
The Eagles finished with an 8-1 advantage in aces, led by Mandy Daniels’ two.
Eastern will play Friday at the St. Peter’s Tournament in Jersey City, N.J.
