Couple’s dancing results in call to police
A middle-aged couple’s dance moves at Rite Aid led to one of them going to jail on drug charges Saturday, police said.
About 5:45 p.m., employees called 911 when Ronald R. Hebert, 46, and Raquita C. Hebert, 45, began dancing in the store at the 12000 block of East Sprague, Spokane Valley Police spokesman Sgt. Dave Reagan said in a news release.
Police said they pulled the couple over in the parking lot and found the car had been reported stolen.
Raquita Hebert was cited for third-degree driving while license suspended, according to the release.
A search found methamphetamine on Ronald Hebert and a small amount of meth in the car, Reagan said.
Ronald Hebert was booked on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, Reagan said.
The car’s owner in Airway Heights was related to the suspects and refused to press charges, according to the release.
