Wisconsin, Tucker cruise to easy victory

Alando Tucker scored 20 points and No. 7 Wisconsin (10-1) beat Wisconsin-Milwaukee 68-49 Wednesday night in Madison, Wis.

The Panthers (2-10) trailed by 15 points at halftime and never seriously threatened the rest of the game.

The Badgers shot 49 percent from the field, went 15 of 23 from the free-throw line and outrebounded the Panthers by nine.

Milwaukee shot 32 percent from the field and took only four free throws until the final 4 minutes of the game, making just one.

Brian Butch had 11 points and eight rebounds for the Badgers, while Kammron Taylor added 10 points.

Paige Paulsen led Milwaukee with 13 points.

(24) Air Force 70, Norfolk St. 47: At Air Force Academy, Colo., the Falcons (11-1) celebrated their return to the rankings by routing the Spartans (1-5) behind 14 points from Jacob Burtschi and 12 from Dan Nwaelele.

Seven Falcons made at least one 3-pointer and Air Force was 15 of 29 from long range, led by Nwaelele’s 4-for-6 night.

Tony Murphy led Norfolk State with 15 points.

(9) Baylor 100, Arkansas-Pine Bluff 48: At Waco, Texas, Danielle Wilson had 24 points and nine rebounds to lead the Lady Bears (10-1) to a victory over the Lady Lions (0-8).

Jhasmin Player added 16 points and Rachel Allison had 13.

Delores Hughley led Arkansas-Pine Bluff with 22 points.

(17) DePaul 74, Northwestern 66: At Chicago, Caprice Smith had 17 points and nine rebounds and the Blue Demons (7-1) defeated the Wildcats (6-4).

Freshman China Threatt also had 17 points for DePaul.

Sara Stutz had 15 points and four assists for Northwestern.

(25) Arkansas 70, SMU 58: At Fayetteville, Ark., Lauren Ervin had 11 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Lady Razorbacks (10-1) to a victory over the Mustangs (6-3).

Dominique Washington led Arkansas with 14 points,

Jillian Samuels led SMU with 14 points, Katy Cobb added 13 and Janielle Dodds had 12.
