Prep basketball
Medical Lake (3-3) rallied from a five-point halftime deficit for a 64-44 non-league girls basketball victory over visiting Newport on Monday night.
Richelle Daily had 21 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots and Marissa Propeck 18 points to lead Medical Lake. Ashley McDonald hit 4 of 11 3-pointers and scored 17 points to lead Newport and Alicia Smith added 12.
Non-league boys
Garfield-Palouse (5-0) used its depth and balance for an 84-47 win over visiting Logos. Gavin Burt scored 19 points to lead four double-figure scorers for Gar-Pal, Tyson Palmer augmented 12 points with seven assists and Eli Elder had eight rebounds. … Bonners Ferry (6-2) used a 26-point fourth quarter to charge from a one-point deficit after three periods to a 70-57 win over visiting Wallace (5-3). Ryan Winebark had 15 points, nine rebounds and three steals and Spenser Behrens had 13 points and six rebounds and Jesus Mendez 13 points to lead Bonners Ferry. Nick Arhtun had 13 points and Jordan Beehner 12 for Wallace.
Non-league girls
Krista Williams scored 20 points and Cara Hayman 15 to lead Wallace (5-7) to a 56-47 win over the visiting Lake City junior varsity.

Coeur d’Alene swept a boys and girls doubleheader at Sandpoint.
The Vikings girls, who got scoring from nine players, led by Kama Griffitts’ 18 points, scored an 89-31 victory to run their record to 9-0. Brittany Oakley led Sandpoint (1-8) with 12 points.
The CdA boys (5-1) won 66-45 behind four double-figure scorers, led by the 13 points each from Andrew Prohaska and Leon Duplessis. Duplessis hit 4 of 8 3-pointers. Pete Gibson of Sandpoint (3-1) led all scorers with 20 points.
