1958 BMW Isetta

Name: Rob and Jann Chatters, Hayden, Idaho.

Purchased: On Father’s Day, 1999, in Portland.

Why I love it: We love the car because it collects so many smiles at car shows and other classic car-related events. A lot of people will relate that someone they knew in high school had one, and tell a story about how a group of people would pick it up and move it. We transport the Isetta to car shows in the back of our pickup, sometimes with our travel trailer behind the truck. The reaction of people passing us on the freeway is interesting, but we have to be watchful as they tend to drift into our lane while looking at the car.
