Body found on West Side identified

SEATTLE – A body found in a wooded area in south suburban Burien was identified Tuesday as that of a Lynnwood woman who had been missing for more than a week, the King County medical examiner’s office said.

The death of Nicole Pietz, 32, is “very suspicious,” King County sheriff’s Sgt. John Urquhart said.

An autopsy was planned today to determine the cause and manner of death.

Pietz had been missing since Jan. 29, when she reportedly failed to show up for a morning meeting in Renton with friends and failed to meet her husband that night at a friend’s home.
