Cheney, Rogers to vie in spirit games

Cheney and Rogers High Schools will compete in boys and girls basketball spirit games beginning at 3:45 p.m. Friday at Cheney High School, 460 N. Sixth, Cheney.

Judges vote for the winner based on sportsmanship, theme and color and on spirit and audible intensity.

This may be the last Diamond Dipper game between the two schools since Cheney is possibly going to 2A bracket next year.

Rogers is undefeated in the spirit competition that began in 2004. Last year Cheney won both the boys and girls basketball games.
