In February, spring may seem very distant, but it’s only a few weeks away. At least, that’s what we keep telling ourselves! In the meantime, stock up on cleaners for the muddy season that’s sure to follow spring rains.

Try the following tips to keep your floors looking great:

•Invest in super-absorbent mats at all entrances to remove as much dirt and muck from shoes as possible.

•Vacuum or use an extension duster to clean all baseboards before cleaning floors. Dust disperses to the edges of rooms. Doing this task first will make your job easier in the long run.

•Use barely damp mops or towels to clean hardwood or tile floors and rinse them often or change cleaning materials. You want the floors to dry quickly, and excess water just pushes dirt around.
