Paul Fergen fund-raiser planned
The Lookout Pass ski patrol will hold a fund-raiser at the ski hill next Saturday to help a Spokane Valley man being treated for cancer.
Paul Fergen, 30, is a member of the ski patrol there and has been a ski instructor at Mount Spokane. He is also a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and active in the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, said event organizer Debbie Martin.
Proceeds from a $7 breakfast to be held from 7 to 8:30 a.m. will help cover his medical expenses. There also will be a silent auction for items, including a week on Lake Coeur d’Alene, dinners, an American Kennel Club-registered Labrador puppy and other items.
Skiing will follow at the regular price for lift tickets.
