Kevin Smidt, 20, of Coeur d’Alene, recently began serving a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints mission in Honduras, Comayaguela Mission, in Central America.

Smidt completed four years of LDS Seminary and is a 2003 graduate of Lake City High School. Prior to his mission work he was employed at Les Schwab Tire.

He is the son of Timothy and Janet Smidt of Coeur d’Alene.
