Fire District 2 (Fairfield) – Commissioners welcomed a new volunteer firefighter and discussed vehicle maintenance. Also, they are still looking into ambulance rates. (Source: Chief Adam Brannon)

Fire District 11 (Rockford) – The district recently received a $2,200 matching funds grant for communications and training from the Department of Natural Resources. Commissioners discussed spending some of it on a projector and computer to be used for training. EMS has ordered a new portable patient monitor for the rescue truck. (Source: Chief Stan Seehorn)

Rockford City Council – Council members set a public hearing to hear comments on the possibility of raising water and sewer assessment fees. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. March 15 at City Hall. They also discussed setting a fee for people with more than two false alarms that result in a medical or fire response. No action was taken. (Source: City clerk)
