Dinner will benefit Little Spokane

The Friends of the Little Spokane River Valley will hold its annual meeting, dinner and fund-raiser March 3 at the Wandermere Golf Course Clubhouse.

Donations of $15 will be accepted to help raise money for trail building and preservation of the Little Spokane River Valley.

The dinner includes Cajun deep-fried turkey, mesquite chicken, pork loin with cherry sauce, baked beans, cheesy potatoes, coleslaw and desserts.

The doors open at 6 p.m., meeting at 6:30 and dinner at 7 with a live auction after the dinner.

Lakeside Library book sale

The Friends of the Lakeside Library in Suncrest will hold its annual book sale Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Tum Tum Community Center.

Soup and raffle tickets will be available for purchase.

Proceeds will benefit the Lakeside Library. For more information, call 276-3329.

Meetings

• The Minnehaha Neighborhood Council will meet at 7 tonight at Cooper Elementary School, 322 N. Ferrall St.

Neva-Wood COPS will meet at 6:30 p.m. next Thursday at 4705 N. Addison St. Refreshments provided. Parking across the street to the east at the Zion Church.

• The Balboa/South Indian Trail Neighborhood Council will meet at 7 p.m. next Thursday at Balboa Elementary School, 3010 W. Holyoke Ave.

• The Five Mile Prairie Neighborhood Council will meet next Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Five Mile Grange, Strong and Five Mile roads.
