WVSD levies vital for continued success
On March 14, residents of the West Valley School District will be asked to vote on three-year replacement levies for maintenance and operations and capital projects (technology) levies. We strongly urge the residents of the West Valley School District to vote yes for both levies. These levies are replacements of expiring levies; no new taxes will be charged to residents for passage of these levies. Exemptions for the levies are available to residents 60 and older with an annual income of less that $35,000. These levies are vital for the continued success of the district. Almost 20 percent of the district’s budget, nearly $7 million dollars, is provided through the M&O levy. The technology levy will continue to provide $500,000 per year to support advanced technology training as well as the “Smart School” program that brings technology into all areas of the school curriculum.
Consider these levies as an investment. By making an investment in our children, you are making an investment in our future.
