Support excellence in learning
It is a privilege to serve the community as principals in the East Valley School District. We are writing this letter to urge your full support of our upcoming maintenance and operations levy this March 14. Your “Yes” vote will mean the continuation of many critical services (student transportation, building and property maintenance, paraprofessional instructional and supervisory assistance, nursing staff and extracurricular activities) and programs to your school district, its students and staff.
We are proud each and every day of the accomplishments of our students. They excel academically, athletically and artistically. Such success comes through the joint dedication of each and every one of East Valley’s committed employees. The support of our parents and community is the life and energy of our schools.
Citizens of Washington have challenged us as educators to become more accountable and effective as we prepare our children for success in life. We have answered that challenge by continuing to commit time and resources to program improvement so that no child will be left behind.
To help us in continuing to meet the challenge, we ask that our citizens support us as they always have by passing this critically important levy. Let your “Yes” vote be another way to support excellence in learning for each student, grades preschool through 12th grade.

Support replacement levies in WVSD
As a patron and employee of West Valley School District, I urge you to vote “Yes” on both our maintenance and operations levy and our capital projects (technology) levy. These levies are replacement levies replacing the existing and expiring levies. They are not new taxes on our properties.
As a resident of the district I know how important it is for my property value to continue to have the kind of school district we now have. Working in the district I know how important the levies are to my school and the children we teach. About 20 percent of the West Valley School District budget is provided by the maintenance and operations levy. The replacement technology levy will continue to fund training and technology for our district preparing our students to succeed in the Information Age.
It is vitally important that we continue providing our students with an outstanding education.
