Blasting to start at gravel quarry

The Spokesman-Review

Blasting will begin this week at a new gravel quarry in Boundary County.

Quarry owner Tungsten Holdings Inc. plans to blast for two days at the site just south of Porthill, near the Canadian border.

Blasting is to start at 8 a.m. Friday.

As a condition of the special-use permit issued by the Boundary County Planning Department, the company must give public notice of blasting dates.

A copy of the permit application is on file in the Planning and Zoning Office in Bonners Ferry and is available for review.

For more information, contact Boundary County Planning and Zoning at (208) 267-7212 or Tungsten Holdings at (208) 267-3156.
