With the new year comes new opponents – and some old rivals. League play begins Friday for both the girls and boys, with Colfax hosting Newport and Freeman traveling to Kettle Falls. Kettle Falls’ boys (8-2) and Freeman’s girls (7-1) have fared best thus far in the non-league schedule, and each team has a few more non-league matchups interspersed with league foes, but now the real fun begins.
