Spokane REALTOR® Sullivan to lead state association
On Jan. 17, REALTORS® from throughout Washington state will gather in Olympia to celebrate the installation of Spokane’s Terry Sullivan as the 2006 president of the Washington Association of REALTORS®.
A second-generation Spokane REALTOR®, Sullivan began his career in 1970. After nine years as a residential agent for Sullivan Realty, he purchased the company from his father, Chuck, who retired in 1979.
Terry began his focus on new construction sales and marketing while growing the company as the broker and residential land developer. A REALTOR® with 36 years experience, he holds the CRS designation and has been a participant at the state association level since 1987.
In 1990, he was elected president of the Spokane Association of REALTORS® and two years later was named Spokane REALTOR® of the Year. Sullivan has served the Washington Association of REALTORS® as vice president of government affairs and as chair of its Legislative Steering and Political Affairs committees. In addition, he has been a national director for 10 years. Also, Sullivan has served on the Multiple Listing and Land Use committees and has worked with lawmakers such as Tom Foley, George Nethercutt and Cathy McMorris.
The new state president graduated from Gonzaga Prep in 1964, and earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Washington State University in 1968.
