University takes NW Classic
University, sparked by first-place finishes from Michael Malsam (119 pounds) and Trevor Robb (152), took the team title at the Pacific Northwest Classic Saturday at U-Hi.
The Titans, who also got second-place finishes from Chase Fish (125) and Nick Zumwalt (171), finished with 172.5 team points. Lakeside, behind a first-place finish from Jon Millard (171) and second-place finishes from Kyle Johnson (119), Levi Jones (135) and Ryan Burgess (160), finished with 156.5 points.
Moses Lake was third with 154.5 points and Central Valley fourth – behind first-place finishes from Nick Cambron (103), Lucas Chesher (140) and Camren Ebat (160) – with 144.5.
East Valley, which got a first-place finish from Tyler Jolley (275) and second-place finishes from Bryce Fisher (152) and Jimmy Martin (215), was fifth with 141 points.
•Liberty used two first-place finishes to sneak past Freeman and win the team title at the Liberty Invite.
Liberty finished with 110 team points, four ahead of second-place Freeman. Medical Lake took third with 99 points, Pomeroy fourth with 95.5 and White Swan sixth with 88.
