Christian Ski Night will benefit Life Services

Life Services Pregnancy Centers, Medical Clinics and Maternity Home is presenting its fourth annual Christian Ski Night at Mt. Spokane Ski & Snowboard Park Sunday from 5 to 9:30 p.m.

All the proceeds of this event will benefit Life Services.

Advance lift tickets are $10, tickets at the mountain are $13, and anyone with a season pass to Mt. Spokane can offer a $5 donation at the ticket window.

“ The Spokane Buddhist Temple, 927 S. Perry St., is offering “Understanding the Meditative Process,” a public talk by Jason Siff of the Skillful Meditation Project of California, Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Movie discussion group

Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church, 4102 S. Crestline St., is presenting its monthly Faith and Film discussion group starting Sunday from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

The group will discuss how selected films connect with Christianity.

This month’s movie will be “The Long Walk Home,” which stars Sissy Spacek and Whoopi Goldberg. The movie is set in Montgomery, Ala., in 1955 and deals with the bus boycott and civil rights movement.
