Man arrested Sunday after chase

The Spokesman-Review

An Idaho man who led Spokane-area police and deputies on multiple pursuits was arrested Sunday afternoon after a chase that lasted an hour and a half.

Michael J. Jordan, 22, faces charges of attempting to elude an officer and possession of methamphetamine, Spokane Valley police spokesman Cpl. Dave Reagan said.

Sunday’s pursuit began at Broadway and Pines in Spokane Valley about 11:40 a.m., Reagan said. The pursuit meandered through the Valley for nearly a half-hour before ending on Starr Road north of Elder Road. Jordan was then tracked through mud and snow for another hour before being found under low-hanging tree branches.

Alisha A. Louie, 18, of Plummer, Idaho, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, Reagan said. She was a passenger in Jordan’s car.

Jordan, who lives in Worley, Idaho, has led deputies on chases in Spokane County and Idaho’s Benewah County several times in the last two weeks, authorities said.

Traffic stops net drugs, weapons

A 30-year-old woman pulled over for a suspended license had syringes and methamphetamine in her car.

Crystal C. Ball, 3000 W. Sunset, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, Spokane Valley police spokesman Cpl. Dave Reagan said. A charge of driving while suspended is pending.

Ball was driving her 1986 Honda Accord near Sullivan and Indiana Saturday afternoon when an officer ran a registration check and discovered her license was possibly suspended, Reagan said. After arresting Ball, the officer searched her car. The needles and a small amount of meth were found inside.

Ball was booked into Spokane County Jail. Another traffic stop Saturday afternoon, resulted in the seizure of more drugs and two weapons.

Two men were arrested when the driver failed to signal a turn, Spokane Valley police spokesman Cpl. Dave Reagan said. The driver had a warrant for his arrest.

Jeremiah R. Smith, 19, 15821 E. Fourth Ave., was booked into Spokane County Jail on a warrant for driving under the influence and charges of driving while suspended, possession of a dangerous weapon and possession of marijuana, Reagan said. A knife and collapsible baton were found when police searched Smith. A marijuana cigarette was found in the car, police said.

The passenger, Neil M. Woodward, 18, 12421 E. Riverside Ave., was not wearing a seat belt, Reagan said. Officers searched him and found drug paraphernalia and cocaine, Reagan said.

Woodard was charged with possession of cocaine.

Man who exposed himself sought

Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a suspect who exposed himself Monday at a Spokane Valley Mall store.

The man was described as 30 to 45 years old, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, and 160 to 175 pounds with collar length dark hair, Spokane Valley police spokesman Cpl. Dave Reagan said.

The man was first spotted by employees at Hallmark Cards about 7:50 p.m., Reagan said. He was seen fondling himself while watching a 13-year-old girl.

The suspect was then seen inside Linens ‘n’ Things watching a woman and her 10-year-old daughter, Reagan said. The mother told police the man was exposed and fondling himself. The suspect used a nearby poster to cover himself when he realized the woman had seen what he was doing.

Anyone with information about the suspect should call 242-8477.
